In 2022, a historical announcement was made to officially select the MCX-SPEAR as the M7 service rifle by the U.S. Army. In combination with the groundbreaking 6.8x51 hybrid ammunition, the MCX-SPEAR has become the pinnacle by which rifle capabilities will be judged.
Capable of muzzle velocities in excess of 3,000 FPS with a 113gr bullet out of a 16” barrel, the MCX-SPEAR rifle is achieving the Army’s goal of advanced performance while also exceeding the requirements for durability. Now for the first time, this technology will be available to the U.S. civilian market with the MCX-SPEAR rifle chambered in 6.8x51 along with a family of Hybrid Ammunition from SIG SAUER. The MCX-SPEAR platform also offers a new level of modularity, allowing for caliber conversion between 6.8x51, 7.62x51 and 6.5 Creedmoor and 13” or 16” barrel length options. In addition, the MCX-SPEAR features a non-reciprocating side charging handle, a rear charging handle, fully ambidextrous controls, a 2-Stage Match Duo Trigger and a free-floating M-LOK™ handguard.
For the first time in more than 30 years a new rifle has brought an entirely new level of performance and reliability to the U.S. Army, and is now ushering in a changing of the guard.

For more than 100 years, the “Chicago Typewriter®”, the time-honored submachine gun, has been a favorite among collectors and shooting enthusiasts. Now, Kahr Firearms Group has given the semi-auto version a more authentic look with the introduction of their new barrel design on the Thompson carbine. With a barrel length of just 16.5” including the pinned and welded Cutts Compensator, it is 1.5” shorter than the 18" model and represents the shortest, most compact Tommy Gun your can purchase without going the SBR route.
This .45 ACP model has a permanently affixed Cutts compensator which lengthens the 15" finned barrel length to 16.5” and puts the overall length for the carbine at 39” from buttstock to muzzle. The BATFE recently approved the permanently affixed Cutts compensator as a part of the barrel. The pinned Cutts compensator offered on the 18” barreled models are not considered part of the barrel. This model also features a blade front and open rear adjustable sight and weighs 12.5 lbs. The fixed stock and vertical foregrip are crafted from luxurious polished American Walnut.
