The M1A™ SOCOM 16 takes the classic M1A to a whole new level.

A handy, tactical rifle, the M1A™ SOCOM 16 has a specially-engineered 16.25″ barrel that’s mated to the gas system with a proprietary muzzle brake to reduce felt recoil in a big way. It also features the Springfield Armory® forward scout-style picatinny mount, an enlarged ghost ring aperture rear sight, and XS Sights® tritium insert in the front sight to give you lightning fast target acquisition capability.

THE ULTRA-COMPACT M1A™ VARIANT
Proving that sometimes less really is more, the M1A™ SOCOM 16 in .308 Win. takes the M1A™ platform and shrinks it down to a remarkably compact and portable size. Sporting a short 16.25″ barrel and shortened gas system, the SOCOM 16 features a forward mounted “scout” mount rail for an optic.

The traditional styling of the composite stock on the M1A™ SOCOM 16 makes it comfortable, while its advanced materials science makes it impervious to weather and rough handling.

16.25″ BARREL
The 16.25″ barrel of the M1A™ SOCOM 16 features a 1:11″ six-groove right-hand twist to maximize accuracy while minimizing bulk and weight.

The forward scout-style Picatinny rail is designed to accommodate CQB optics.
