ROCK ISLAND ARMORY M1911 PRO ULTRA MATCH 1911 9MM HIGH CAPACITY (HC) – not to be confused with the $200 cheaper TAC ULTRA MATCH 9mm HC which is a great pistol in its own right, but the ULTRA MATCH (RI56645) is RIA’s top firearm.
The PRO Match Ultra HC is a target grade pistol ready for competition right out of the box. This pistol has a 5″ barrel chambered in 9mm Luger with a 17-round capacity. It has an adjustable LPA rear sight and high visibility fiber optic front sight along with a skeletonized hammer. The SP5 was developed by Heckler & Koch as a semiautomatic, civilian sporting pistol that matches the look and feel of the legendary MP5 submachine gun. Designed and manufactured to meet the definition of a civilian pistol, the SP5 is loaded with authentic features, like a Navy barrel with threaded tri-lug adaptor, paddle magazine release and fluted chamber. The backbone of the SP5 is the roller-delayed blowback operating system, which is legendary for its accuracy, reliability, and smooth shooting dynamic. Originally perfected on the Heckler & Koch G3 rifle, it has been used on several other HK firearms still serving today around the world. The SP5 is manufactured in Heckler & Koch's Oberndorf factory in southwest Germany. It retains many of the critical elements of the MP5, including its precision-machined components and attention to detail. This high level of quality and workmanship is a result of making the SP5 in the same factory, on the same lines, and by the same workforce that has been making MP5s for years. For more comfortable shooting, the SP5 is equipped with an elastic "bungee" sling. The sling is easily installed by snapping it onto the sling swivel hardware located on the rear of the receiver. The M17 is a P320-based platform, and was selected for its uniquely innovative modularity, uncompromising performance and unmatched capability. The P320-M17 closely follows the specifications of the U.S. Army’s M17.

The P320-M17 is a 9mm, striker-fired pistol and comes with one (1) 17-round magazine and two (2) 21-round magazines. The pistol features a coyote-tan PVD coated stainless steel slide with the same optic cut as specified by the MHS contract, and black controls just like the pistols currently being shipped to the U.S. Army; it comes equipped with a SIGLITE front night sight and removable Night Sight rear plate. The P320-M17 features a coyote-tan carry-length grip module, available in three sizes and comes standard with a manual safety. Non-Manual-safety models are also available (320F-9-M17).
