The Paul Howe Tactical Carbine uses our peerless, match-grade, 5.56 NATO chambered stainless steel 16″ barrel with deep lightening flutes and an Accu-Tac flash hider. A Two stage Wilson Combat TTU with heavier springs for a 4.5 – 5 pound trigger release – an ideal weight for gloved use in an operational environment – is standard. Paul selected a Daniel Defense fixed front sight tower along with his CSAT rear aperture flip up rear sight for fast, reliable combat sighting. Designed by Major George Schofield to be operated with one hand while on horseback, a break-open pistol was ideal for mounted soldiers in the U.S. Cavalry. Shooters could easily eject all six spent cartridges and reload while on horseback. The top break pistol also proved useful to the likes of Jesse James and Wild Bill Hickok. The Schofield barrel latch opens by pulling it back with the thumb and includes the rear sight notch. This model features a forged steel frame, nickeled finish and a faux pearl grip.
