Springfield 1911 Range Officer Elite Champion (PI9136E). This 45ACP was designed for easy carry and match grade accuracy. It features a lightweight forged alloy frame and forged steel slide coated in a corrosion resistant “Black T” finish. The 4-inch match grade bull barrel and fully supported ramp is coupled with a flat wire captive recoil system for ultimate reliability and repeatability. The tactical rack white-dot rear sight and fiber optic front speed target acquisition, a bilateral safety adds security and a crisp Gen 2 trigger and thin-line G10 grips provide the smooth action and secure hold required of a quick, highly accurate concealed carry option. It weighs 30 ounces with an empty magazine of which 2 are supplied – both 7-round and blued.

Designed by Major George Schofield to be operated with one hand while on horseback, a break-open pistol was ideal for mounted soldiers in the U.S. Cavalry. Shooters could easily eject all six spent cartridges and reload while on horseback. The top break pistol also proved useful to the likes of Jesse James and Wild Bill Hickok. The Schofield barrel latch opens by pulling it back with the thumb and includes the rear sight notch. This model features a forged steel frame, nickeled finish and a faux pearl grip.
