ROCK ISLAND ARMORY M1911 PRO ULTRA MATCH 1911 9MM HIGH CAPACITY (HC) – not to be confused with the $200 cheaper TAC ULTRA MATCH 9mm HC which is a great pistol in its own right, but the ULTRA MATCH (RI56645) is RIA’s top firearm.
The PRO Match Ultra HC is a target grade pistol ready for competition right out of the box. This pistol has a 5″ barrel chambered in 9mm Luger with a 17-round capacity. It has an adjustable LPA rear sight and high visibility fiber optic front sight along with a skeletonized hammer. Comes in a fully parkerized finish with checkered rubber grips and a full length picatinny tactical rail.

Custom Shop features include a round heel frame that is comfortable to carry and does not snag clothing, night sights with cocking shoulder for one-hand operation and Carry Melt™ treatment for rounded and blended edges. Special unidirectional serrations on the frame combine with checkered grip panels to lock the Super Carry to hand better than any other pistol and a similar pattern on the slide speeds reloading. Ambidextrous thumb safety, match grade trigger group, bumped grip safety and recessed slide stop pin provide finishing touches.

After one of the most rigorous and highly competitive review processes in the history of military firearms, the SIG SAUER M17 was awarded the Modular Handgun System (MHS) contract for the U.S. Army. The M17 is a P320-based platform, and was selected for its uniquely innovative modularity, uncompromising performance and unmatched capability. The P320-M17 closely follows the specifications of the U.S. Army’s M17.

The P320-M17 is a 9mm, striker-fired pistol and comes with one (1) 17-round magazine and two (2) 21-round magazines. The pistol features a coyote-tan PVD coated stainless steel slide with the same optic cut as specified by the MHS contract, and black controls just like the pistols currently being shipped to the U.S. Army; it comes equipped with a SIGLITE front night sight and removable Night Sight rear plate. The P320-M17 features a coyote-tan carry-length grip module, available in three sizes and comes standard with a manual safety. Non-Manual-safety models are also available (320F-9-M17).
