Optics ready with an ambidextrous safety and picatinny rail the Prodigy combines the most beloved characteristics of the 1911 with modern capacity for unrivaled performance. At the heart of the 9mm Prodigy™ pistol is the expertly engineered double-stack magazine. While still slim enough for a comfortable grip on the pistol, this magazine packs in 17 rounds of 9mm in a low-profile design. In addition, the pistol also comes with a 20-round extended magazine, while an optional 26-rounder is also available. AGENCY OPTIC SYSTEM (AOS) Developed in collaboration with Agency Arms, the Prodigy employs AOS (Agency Optic System) plates designed exclusively for the 1911 DS. Machined from billet steel, each plate is designed specifically to deliver proper optic height for intuitive sight picture and instant target acquisition and features an integral rear sight. EXTENDED AMBI THUMB SAFETY To allow use with either hand, the 9mm Prodigy features an extended ambidextrous frame-mounted safety. U-NOTCH SIGHT PICTURE The green fiber optic front sight of the Prodigy pairs with a u-notch rear sight for easy sight alignment. ACCESSORY RAIL The Prodigy features a Picatinny rail on the dustcover of its frame for mounting the accessory of your choice. BLACK CERAKOTE® FINISH For corrosion resistance, the Prodigy features a black Cerakote finish on its metal parts that compliments the black polymer grip module. SKELETONIZED HAMMER The Prodigy employs a skeletonized hammer for fast lock times as well as exceptional ergonomics. FORWARD SLIDE SERRATIONS To allow for easy manipulation of the slide in adverse conditions, the Prodigy features generous slide serrations both front and rear. Mounted to the steel frame is a high-impact polymer grip module with wraparound Adaptive Grip Texture for positive tactile engagement in any condition.
